In the Thermoplastics industry a variety of products can be found and the manufacturing processes can be improved and implemented that will save manufacturers thousands of dollars. A study was conducted by Chem-Trend, a worldwide organization that strives to develop products that give manufacturers higher quality molded and cast parts, while maximizing productivity. In the study performed an annual savings of $32, 000 in labor, materials and overhead costs. They improved the cleaning efficiency while also reducing the amount of purge required cleaning by almost 80% and eliminated 212 pounds of start up and production scrap on the production run. There was also ninety-five and a half minutes of transition cleaning. With consumer products manufacturing here in the United States competing with companies with cheap labor, making our thermoplastics products more affordable by cutting productions costs makes us more successful. Products in automobile, electronic, packaging, toy and many other industries benefit by these thermoplastic release agents eliminating stress cracking and minimizing mold flow lines. Cutting costs and saving money is always good business and is even better when it spreads across many product industries.
